Pope Construction & Excavation, Inc. installs and repairs utilities for homes, neighborhoods, and commercial properties across East Tennessee. We handle major and minor utility work, set storm structures, and respond to emergency utility problems such as main water line breaks.
Major and Minor Utility Installation
Utility work is a large part of what our crew does, from trenching a service line to a new building to running infrastructure for a neighborhood. Because we are already on site for clearing and excavation, we can trench, lay pipe, and backfill as part of the same project rather than leaving you to schedule another contractor.
What We Do
- Trenching for water, sewer, and other utility lines
- Setting storm structures and drainage infrastructure
- Utility infrastructure for neighborhoods and gas stations
- Utility service connections for new homes, outbuildings, and well houses
- Asphalt patching where utility trenches cut through an existing drive or road
Emergency Water Line Repairs
We offer emergency utility service, such as repairing main water line breaks. Kyle's crew has responded to a main water line break at a cabin resort on a Friday afternoon, stayed on site until 11 that night, and returned on Monday to patch it and make sure everything was in order. When something breaks, it helps to have a contractor with the equipment and crew already set up to dig.
A Well House, Start to Finish
One recent project shows how our work fits together. A property owner needed a well house but had no good place to put it. Kyle recommended building it behind an existing wall to save usable space. We dug and poured a footer, added a retaining wall, backfilled, poured a slab, brought in utility services, and finished with an asphalt patch where we cut through the existing drive. One crew handled the dirt work, concrete, and utilities.
Pairing Utilities with the Rest of the Site
Utility work goes smoothly when it is planned alongside the rest of the site. We can coordinate it with your site prep, foundation, and septic work so trenches, grades, and elevations match.
